Letting out your mobile home is an excellent way of offsetting your annual running costs ( annual pitch fee, insurance, water and electricity). Own a Holiday Home is unable to offer a letting service to customers. However the majority of campsites with which we work permit you to let your home out subject to certain conditions. In many cases the campsite themselves will let the home out on your behalf. Where they do this they will add your home to their rental fleet for a period to be agreed with you. You will receive the rental income for your home minus a commission, which is normally between 20% - 40% of the weekly rental income. During the time your home is let out by the campsite they will ensure that your home is cleaned and maintained. Please note that it is unlikely that campsites will be able to let your home outside of July and August., nor will they guarantee that they will be able to rent out your home.
In some cases the campsite will allow you let your home privately, particularly in low season. In some cases the site will still ask for a commission. When letting the home privately you would need to make arrangements for the home to be cleaned between lets, maintenance issues to be resolved and somebody to greet customers when they arrive. The campsite may be able to offer these services or you may need to source them locally yourself.
On sites where our sister companies Eurocamp and Keycamp also operate it may be possible for these companies to rent out your home on your behalf. Currently this may be possible on Domaine du Château de Drancourt and Holiday Green.
