We were immediately impressed with the warmth of the welcome, and the attention to detail at this neat park nestling in the green bowl of countryside between the sea and the mountainous forests of the Massif de l'Estérel and the Massif des Maures. But, quite apart from its sublime location, Domaine de la Noguière is a carefully and lovingly run park which easily guarantees a delightful stay.
The emphasis here is on spending quality time, without pressure, in an environment where sports and leisure are as important as rest and relaxation. Check out the park’s range of excursions or its fabulous pool, complete with fun-filled water slides. If you simply want to unwind, then within its compact grounds Domaine de la Noguière offers plenty of spots for you to slink off for an afternoon's sunbathing, such as beneath the rocky bluff of the local 'mountain' the Roche de Roquebrune (from where there are stunning views along the coast).
As evening falls and the temperature hardly dips, you can stroll from your holiday home, though the pine and mimosa-scented grounds, to the site's convivial bar and restaurant for an aperitif with the other multi-national home-owners.

It would be hard to find a more seductive stretch of coast than the Côte d’Azur. There's something about the meeting of the light, the climate and the geography of this region that gives it the edge – and makes it so appealing to artists, playboys, fashionistas and holidaymakers alike. And that's what makes the area so desirable – everyone's welcome!
The beaches are of course world class, if bustling in summer, but there’s more to the area than the coast. Try hip Saint-Maxime and cool Saint-Raphaël, both less than half an hour away. Tear yourself away from the sands at Fréjus, if you can, and visit the town's Musée Archéologique, with its unique collection of Roman artefacts, all unearthed locally. You’ll see that this area has been a popular place for centuries! Head inland and you're in the lavender fields of Provence – you can tell you’re there just from the heady perfume in the air.
The heartland of the region is equally as stunning. Take a walk through the gorges such as Verdon with their rushing rivers and soaring limestone canyons or through the wonderfully uncrowded valleys and mountains of the Cévennes, criss-crossed by lakes, rivers and hiking trails. This is a totally different place from the people-spotting bars and restaurants of the coast, but all the more sublime for it. If you can’t resist the famous resorts then city lovers can stroll along the boulevards of Nice, Juan-les-Pins and Saint-Tropez, and admire the vibrant canvasses in the galleries, smart fashion accessories in the stores and the colour-filled flower markets.
